Why get tested?
To determine whether you have an inherited gene mutation that increases your risk of developing a venous thromboembolism (VTE – inappropriate blood clot formation that blocks the flow of blood in a vein).

When to get tested?
When you have had an unexplained thrombotic episode, especially when you are relatively young (less than 50 years old) and have no other identified risk factors.

Sample required?
A blood sample drawn from a vein in your arm.
